Registered Early Childhood Educator - Supply

Supply position available to work at either Tottenham, Beeton or Alliston locations. On-call or scheduled to assume the position of an RECE in toddler, preschool or kindergarten/school age classrooms.

Duties

Responsible for planning and implementing learning activities and providing a wide range of stimulating material.

Leadership of staff within the classroom.

Responsible for organizing the learning environment and overseeing activities that foster all areas of the child's emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. This includes play-based learning programs and small or large group activities.

Plan and organize activities for preschoolers.

Assist in record keeping and help maintain the equipment in the classroom.

Plan and maintain a high-quality environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.

Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.

Required to submit written observations on children.

Support children in the development of their self-help skills and independence.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.

Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.

Other duties assigned.

Requirements





Must be registered with and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators- RECE

Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR training level C

Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check

Medical clearance and up to date immunization

Working knowledge of ELECT and How Does Learning Happen

Candidates should possess the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work as part of committed and dedicated team

Salary: From $22 and up plus additional subsidies (WEG/GOE/Workforce)
