RMT Opportunity at ViVi Therapy

We are looking for an RMT who wants to grow!

ViVi Therapy has been part of the Victoria community for over 20 years. We are known for high quality clinical care, long term client relationships, and a team that genuinely supports one another.

We recently had a male RMT move on from our team, and we have seen a particularly strong demand from clients looking for a male therapist. At the same time, our established client base continues to create opportunities for RMTs with a wide range of clinical interests.

What makes ViVi different is that we are a mentorship focused clinic.

We actively help our therapists develop the clinical skills that our community needs most, including:

- Pregnancy and prenatal care
- Sports and athletic injuries
- Functional movement and rehabilitation
- Chronic pain and injury recovery ( including ICBC)
- TMJ and headache treatment
- Working with older adults
- General therapeutic massage and preventative care

Roxanne Derkson RMT GCFP for over 35 years will personally train and mentor ViVi Therapy RMT's in these bread and butter focused treatment areas because these are the types of care our patients are looking for every day. Our therapists are busy, and we do a lot more than just fill your schedule.

Our experienced Massage and Acupuncture therapists are also generous with their knowledge and are open to supporting newer RMTs and recent graduates who want to keep learning. The team at ViVi is the perfect size for collegial connections and learning with 5 treatment rooms and a focused exercise space.

We welcome both new grads and RMT's seeking a change.

You need to be willing to learn, think clinically, and care about doing excellent work.

Responsibilities





- Perform professional massage therapy treatments tailored to individual client needs, utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage.
- Assess clients’ health history and discuss their wellness goals to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or lifestyle adjustments as appropriate.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and ongoing professional development to enhance skills.

Requirements

- Valid registration and licensing as a Massage Therapist from the appropriate regulatory body.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to health assessments and treatment planning.
- Proven experience in providing therapeutic massage services with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures and address client concerns.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a compassionate approach at all times.
- Prior experience in customer service environments is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR or first aid is an asset but not mandatory.
