Humber River Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Acute Geriatric Inpatient Medicine Unit, focusing on elder care in a full-time temporary position. This role involves managing patient care for geriatric inpatients while coordinating with healthcare teams. Mentoring recent nurses and participating in quality improvement initiatives will also enhance your professional journey during this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage care for geriatric and general medicine patients
- Collaborate on care planning with multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient care efficiently via computerized systems
- Engage in committees and project teams as required
- Provide mentorship for new hires and nursing students Requirements:
- Valid RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Required BCLS certification
- At least 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of equity and diversity principles in healthcare Contribute to quality elderly care at Humber River Health and lead positive changes in patient support.
