As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care for each resident. You will play a critical role in ensuring quality care, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and initiate individualized care plans based on resident needs upon admission.
- Continuously assess residents and update care plans accordingly.
- Communicate significant changes in residents’ conditions to the appropriate health care team members.
- Implement appropriate nursing interventions, including discharge planning and resident education as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to LVNs and CNAs.
- Conduct initial shift rounds to establish a baseline assessment and provide oversight of resident care.
- Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
- Document all care provided concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Assume charge responsibilities and supervise unit operations in the absence of the head nurse.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including Title 22.
- Foster a professional and collaborative working setting among all health care team members.
- Accept reassignment as needed to ensure resident care needs are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Current CPR certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in clinical assessment, supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents for extended periods
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and assistive devices safely
