Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient information, medication orders, and dosage instructions to ensure safety and compliance
- Provide patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on proper medication use
- Maintain detailed records of medication inventory, prescriptions, and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory standards
- Support medication administration processes by preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds when required
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure seamless medication delivery
- Uphold pharmacy safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceuticals
Experience
- Previous pharmacy technician experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience is needed.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Experience working with medication administration processes within a healthcare environment.
- Excellent attention to detail to prevent errors in prescription processing and inventory management.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is advantageous.
