As The Successful Applicant, You Will Do The Following





- Provide patient-centered care within the Registered Practical Nurse scope of practice in the Surgical Services department
- Support patients throughout their perioperative journey, including pre-operative teaching and surgical preparation
- Assist the surgical team in the Operating Room, including scrub duties during procedures
- Deliver post-operative care, including Level II recovery support and discharge education
- Assist in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing care of patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Promote patient health, recovery, and well-being through supportive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing interventions
- Contribute to safe, effective, and compassionate patient care while adhering to College of Nurses of Ontario standards and best practices
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes

What You’ll Bring

Required

- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Current BCLS
- Scrubbing competence in all surgical services
- Minimum of two years RPN experience in acute care
- Completion of post-diploma Perioperative Nursing Certificate Program
- IV Certification





Preferred

- Recent experience in a perioperative setting
