Independent Contractor | Starting September 2026

Approximately 15+ client-facing hours/week preferred

Compensation: Starting contractor compensation of 50% of collected professional fees, with compensation reviewed as the clinician progresses toward independent registration.

Driven Psychology is a client-centered psychology practice built on the belief that even in life’s chaos, calm is possible.

We currently provide psychological services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a thoughtfully designed Edmonton clinic.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) who has, or is able to establish, an appropriate external supervision arrangement.

Driven Psychology does not provide formal supervision for registration purposes. Applicants are responsible for arranging and maintaining an external supervision arrangement that meets applicable CAP requirements.

This role may be a good fit if you want to build a sustainable private-practice caseload while continuing to develop your clinical judgment, theoretical orientation, and areas of interest.

You do not need to have your entire skilled path mapped out. We welcome clinicians who are curious about the work they want to deepen and who value supervision, consultation, and continued development.

Qualifications

Required

- Current registration as a Registered Provisional Psychologist with CAP, in good standing
- An external supervision arrangement that meets applicable CAP requirements and supports your psychological practice at Driven Psychology
- Graduate degree in psychology meeting applicable registration requirements
- Professional liability insurance, including appropriate cyber liability coverage
- Meaningful supervised clinical experience
- Strong understanding of ethics, professional boundaries, and limits of competence
- Ability to use supervision and consultation appropriately
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to provide in-person services at our Edmonton clinic

Approximately 15+ client-facing hours/week is preferred.

Preferred

- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counselling Psychology preferred
- Master’s-level applicants with substantial supervised clinical preparation are also encouraged to apply
- Strong practicum or internship experience involving direct psychological services
- Formal psychotherapy training beyond introductory exposure
- Interest in developing depth within one or more populations or treatment approaches
- Active engagement in continued professional development
