Inner Quest Counselling & Psychotherapy is seeking one RP or MSW who works with children and teens, to join a client-centered practice in Embrun, ON. The ideal candidate has experience working with children, and is compassionate, skilled, and aligned with a heart-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy.

Responsibilities

- Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate within a small, supportive practice
- Offer in-person (on site) sessions and/or virtual sessions
- Uphold CRPO, PHIPA, and ethical standards

Requirements

- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the CRPO, (RP(Q) applicants must be graduated and have their own approved supervisor).
- Registered Social Worker (MSW) with the OCSWSSW who has a minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience and formal supervision.
- Completion of a master’s-level counselling or psychotherapy program
- Professional liability insurance




- Previous experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive team environment
- Some after-school, evening, or weekend availability
- Strong communication skills and sound clinical judgment

Preferred Skills & Experience (Our Core Service Focus) We’re looking for a licensed psychotherapist/counsellor who brings experience aligned with our therapeutic approach:

- Proven experience providing therapy for children and teens in a safe, compassionate, client-centered manner.
- Specialized areas of practice, including couples, family, etc., are considered an asset.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, life transitions, past trauma, and more.
- Experience supporting children and their caregivers, using developmentally attuned, play-based, or creative therapeutic approaches to build trust and support emotional regulation.
- Comfort integrating multiple modalities.
- Ability to manage a caseload autonomously, providing secure virtual sessions and in-person sessions, while maintaining excellent documentation and ethical standards.
- Commitment to ongoing career development and contributing to a collaborative, supportive practice culture.
