Prospect The Resident Care

Manager (RCM) reports to the Director of Care (DOC) and is responsible for the management of the Resident Care Services within the long‑term care residence.

Responsibilities - Ensure assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the overall operation of the home in accordance with current provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations.

- Promote collaborative team practice and encourage practices that respect resident, family, and staff rights, individuality, and diversity.
- Review trends on all unusual incident reports and medication incident reports and ensure prompt corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in Provincial Accommodation & Licensing Standard, Continuing Care Health Service Standard, and Infection, Prevention and Control compliance processes, completing action plan development with follow‑up.




- Ensure Critical / Reportable Incident and all allegations of Resident abuse and PPC investigation processes are completed within timelines for responses in collaboration with the Director of Care.
- Implement policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director of Care.

Qualifications - At least 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience.

- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role with demonstrated excellence in management, leadership, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of applicable provincial legislation and standards (Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario).
- Experience caring for residents with Dementia.
- Computer and technology proficiency, including experience with Point Click Care and other software applications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) preferred.
- Current registration in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body (RN or LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
