Resident Experience Manager

We're looking for a Resident Experience Manager to lead the teams and programs that make our community feel like home. This role blends hospitality, people leadership, community engagement, and operational excellence to ensure every resident has an outstanding experience from move-in onward.
What you'll do
As our Resident Experience Manager, you'll partner closely with the CEO and collaborate across the organization to deliver exceptional resident experiences.
You'll
- Lead and develop our Kitchen Services, Recreation, Concierge, and Housekeeping teams.
- Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and resident-centred service.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees while supporting performance, engagement, and professional growth.
- Create welcoming and memorable experiences for residents, families, and visitors.
- Oversee resident onboarding and ensure a smooth, supportive move-in experience.
- Build strong relationships with residents and their families while responding thoughtfully to feedback and concerns.
- Plan engaging lifestyle programs, events, celebrations, and community initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to continuously improve service delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor resident satisfaction metrics and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Support communications including newsletters, resident updates, and community engagement activities.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, reports, and organizational planning.
What you bring We're looking for someone who combines robust operational leadership with genuine compassion for seniors.
You'll be successful if you have:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Gerontology, Hospitality, Social Work, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 5 years of experience working in senior living, hospitality, or a related environment.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience.
- Experience supporting senior leadership or executive teams.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- A passion for creating outstanding customer and resident experiences.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector.
- Knowledge of grant-funded or donor-supported organizations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, or project management tools.
