Residential Vac Truck Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Residential Vac Truck Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of liquid hauling/driving experience and be comfortable working directly with residential customers.

In this role, you will safely and efficiently operate tandem vac trucks to provide residential sewer, drainage, and tank cleaning services. Strong customer service skills are essential, as you will represent our company while working in customers' homes and on their properties.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, professional, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Safely and efficiently operate tandem vac trucks while following all safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Perform residential sewer and tank cleanouts.
- Provide professional and courteous service to residential customers.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding services being performed and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Conduct daily inspections of the truck and equipment.
- Assist with job-site setup and cleanup.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks.
- Use basic computer programs and electronic systems for work orders, service records, scheduling, and communication.
- Keep trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE use and hazard awareness.
- Work effectively with team members to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of liquid hauling/driving experience required.




- Valid Class 3 with Q endorsement with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating tandem vac trucks is required.
- Basic computer skills are required, including the ability to use email, enter information, complete electronic work orders, and navigate basic computer or mobile applications.
- Solid customer service skills and the ability to work well with residential customers.
- Professional, respectful, and friendly manner when dealing with customers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues.
- Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safe driving and equipment operation procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically able to perform the duties required in a residential service environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will be working directly with homeowners, so being respectful, professional, and comfortable dealing with customers is an important part of this position. You must also be comfortable using basic computer and mobile technology to complete service documentation, communicate with the office, and keep accurate job records.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
