Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation and dishwashing when necessary and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies

Qualifications





- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Experience with food industry operations including serving, upselling, and cashiering is advantageous
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail

Requirements:
- Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
- Previous serving at Japanese restaurant experience is a plus but not required
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g. work permit, PR, citizen)
