RIGHT-OF-WAY INSPECTOR – PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT LOCATION: MUNICIPALITY OF NORRISTOWN HOURLY WAGE: $28.5552 - BASE PER HOUR HOURS: 8:30 AM TO 4:30 PM - MONDAY – FRIDAY EMPLOYMENT: NON-EXEMPT, FULL-TIME APPLY TO: HUMAN RESOURCES [email protected] MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At least three years of experience in construction and public works. Appropriate experience substitutions may be considered. High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience in construction.

Computer literate.

Valid Pennsylvania

Driver’s License. Ability to communicate in English effectively, orally and in writing; follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Ability to prune trees. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly, having to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.

GENERAL DEFINITION: Field work inspecting streets, alleys, curbs, sidewalks and other items affecting the Municipality’s right- of- way for compliance with relevant codes, regulations and ordinances. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Public Works.
