MOUNTAIN SPORTS SCHOOL ASSISTANT MANAGER

About Us

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder and an authentic Canadian resort town.

The Mountain Sports School Assistant Manager is responsible for successful day-to-day operations of the Mountain Sports School and assists the Mountain Sports School Manager in all administrative and leadership aspects of the department.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mountain Sports School department
- Manage staff availability, assignment, weekly master schedules
- Coordinate lesson bookings and instructor assignments
- Coordinate integration with sales, wholesale, and online bookings
- Supervise, coach and train supervising staff
- Organize daily instructor assignments and meetings
- Manage departmental human resources functions, including payroll administration and employee relations
- Deliver and ensure an exceptional guest experience thoughout the Mountain Sports School
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest service issues in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate AST courses and instructor assignments
- Assist the Mountain Sports School Manager, other departments, and direct reports as necessary
- Other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:




- Work eligibility in Canada – can provide work permit and SIN documentation
- Minimum Level 2 instructor certification
- Minimum 2 seasons experience as a ski or snowboard instructor
- Minimum 2 seasons supervisory or leadership experience in a Snow School or similar workplace preferred
- 5 years' experience with Microsoft Office, POS, CRM, and database systems
- Office administration experience
- Ski industry and particularly instructing or coaching experience is a major plus
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Passion for the mountains, guest service and snow sports
- Must be bondable, and able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, issued within the last three months, upon hire
- Fluency in English, second languages are an asset.
