Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Rodbuster/Iron Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing and securing rebar, steel reinforcement, and structural iron components that form the backbone of our construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, stability, and longevity of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install rebar and steel structures.
- Fabricate, position, and secure rebar cages and steel frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other machinery safely to lift and position heavy steel components.
- Install concrete forms and assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to ensure exact alignment and secure fastening of structural elements.
- Perform welding tasks to join steel components when required for structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.





Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and construction materials used in rebar installation and iron work.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Experience with concrete forming and renovation projects.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools efficiently.
- Knowledge of techniques for steel fabrication and repair.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures for heavy lifting and working at heights.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
