Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our Hospitality Team in Halifax. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. This role is essential in delivering a positive guest experience and requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong service mindset.

RDuties

- Clean, prepare, and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including bed making, dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and bathroom sanitation.
- Replace linens, towels, and guest amenities to ensure rooms are fully stocked and guest-ready.
- Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and safety concerns, reporting findings promptly.
- Ensure rooms meet quality and presentation standards before guest check-in and during stayover services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, carts, and supply rooms.
- Follow all hotel procedures related to room servicing, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
- Respect guest privacy, confidentiality, and personal belongings at all times.




- Respond professionally to guest requests or direct them to the appropriate department when required.

Skills

- Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a hospitality-related role is preferred; housekeeping experience is considered an asset.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing carts.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a guest-focused, professional attitude.
