Position Overview

Snap-on Tools is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Industry Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining robust relationships with automotive technicians, repair shops, dealerships, fleet operations, and other industry professionals while providing high-quality tools, equipment, and solutions that help customers improve productivity and profitability.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the automotive industry, enjoys working directly with customers, and has the drive to build a successful territory through consultative sales and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage relationships with automotive technicians, shop owners, service managers, dealerships, and fleet customers.
- Grow sales within an assigned territory by identifying new customers and developing existing accounts.
- Demonstrate and sell Snap-on hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, shop equipment, and related products.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
- Maintain a consistent sales route and territory schedule.
- Build long-term customer loyalty through responsive service and product knowledge.
- Identify opportunities for additional sales, upgrades, and new product introductions.
- Stay current on automotive repair trends, new vehicle technologies, diagnostic systems, and industry developments.
- Process orders, maintain accurate customer records, and manage territory sales activities.




- Follow up with customers regarding orders, product questions, demonstrations, and service needs.
- Participate in company promotions, sales programs, training, and product launches.
- Represent the Snap-on brand professionally and maintain a high standard of customer service.
- Meet or exceed established sales, customer retention, and territory growth objectives.

Qualifications
- Previous sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
- Automotive industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair, tools, diagnostics, or shop equipment is an asset.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using mobile technology, CRM systems, and basic business software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned territory and make frequent customer visits.
- Professional, positive, and customer-oriented attitude.

What We're Looking For The successful candidate is a relationship builder and problem solver who understands that selling tools is about more than products—it is about helping automotive professionals work faster, safer, and more efficiently. You should be comfortable working in automotive shops, talking with technicians and shop owners, demonstrating products, identifying business opportunities, and following through to earn repeat business.

Pay: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
