Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandblaster/coater to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality coating finishes to a variety of metal and industrial components. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet strict quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties

- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring removal of rust & scale
- Apply spray coating using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
- Set up and calibrate equipment such as blast hoses, compressors, power tools, and hand tools to facilitate protected handling of materials.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment




- Follow safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required, utilizing mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment to promote a secure and organized environment in line with lean manufacturing principles.

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge with experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including surface preparation, coating techniques, and assembly.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Must have confined space, fall protection and CSTS, WHMIS
