We are looking for an experienced

SAP Fioneer FPSL Functional Consultant to support a banking-focused SAP FPSL implementation in Toronto, Ontario. The role will focus on hands-on functional configuration, banking product accounting, integration, testing, reconciliation, and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure

SAP Fioneer FPSL for banking products including loans and advances, deposits, money market instruments, and securities/bonds where applicable.

- Configure FPSL contract types, contract attributes, event types, event processing, posting schemas, and accounting determinations.

- Support valuation areas, subledger accounting layers, accounting principles, and ledgers.

- Implement accounting logic aligned with

IFRS 9

, including AC, FVOCI, and FVTPL classifications.

- Support effective interest rate (EIR) calculations, accruals, amortization, fees, and charges.

- Support initial recognition, accrual, amortization, and derecognition accounting events.

- Assist with integration from core banking systems and treasury/trading platforms into FPSL.

- Validate event payloads, attribute mappings, enrichments, and source-system data.

- Support outbound integration from FPSL to

SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal

.





- Validate GL account derivations, document splitting, posting completeness, and accounting consistency.

- Execute and support

Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

.

- Perform reconciliation between source systems, FPSL subledger, and GL.

- Investigate and resolve functional defects and accounting discrepancies.

- Work closely with Finance Leads, Solution Architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to validate accounting outcomes.

Required Experience

- Hands-on experience with

SAP Fioneer FPSL functional configuration and implementation

.

- Strong understanding of banking products and financial accounting.

- Experience with

IFRS 9

and financial instrument accounting.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal integration.

- Experience with source-system integration, accounting events, posting schemas, and GL determination.

- Solid experience in testing, reconciliation, defect resolution, and implementation support.

- Banking or financial services industry experience is highly preferred.
