People Force is looking for a Security Engineer for a 6 month contract role with one of our client. This position is a hybrid position with onsite presence at our client’s Calgary, AB office , 2 days per week
Web Application & API Security Testing – Experience identifying and validating OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, authorization flaws, business logic issues, and API security weaknesses.
Cloud Security Assessment – Ability to assess Azure and AWS environments for misconfigurations, excessive permissions, exposed services, and cloud attack paths.
Purple Teaming & Adversary Simulation – Experience working alongside detection and response teams to emulate attacker behaviors, validate security controls, and improve detection coverage.
Security Tooling & Automation – Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate testing and improve efficiency.
Technical Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to clearly communicate findings, assess risk,
and provide actionable remediation guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have Certifications
OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
CWES (Certified Web Exploitation Specialist)
BSCP (Burp Suite Certified Practitioner)
CRTO (Certified Red Team Operator)
