Bussey Porter Hetu is currently seeking an experience accounting skilled looking to join a dynamic and growing firm. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to provide expert accounting, tax, and advisory services to our diverse client base.

As a locally owned Chartered Professional Accounting firm affiliated with Porter Hétu International, we are committed to delivering outstanding financial, tax, and advisory services to our clients. Our firm has experienced significant growth in recent years, and we are looking to expand our professional team with individuals who share our dedication to excellence. Due to the upcoming retirement of a valued long-term Senior Accountant, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and fill this key role.

Responsibilities

· Plan, prepare, and execute Audit, Review, and Compilation engagements

· Analyze, prepare, and file corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns

· Evaluate financial information and provide practical solutions to client issues, both personal and corporate

· Deliver high-quality accounting services while maintaining strong professionalism and effective communication with clients

· Collaborate closely with engagement team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client work

Skills and Experience





· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset but is not required

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting, including preparation of financial statements and tax returns

· Experience with CaseWare, Profile, Sage, and QuickBooks Online (QBO) is an asset

· Strong ability to communicate effectively with business owners and managers, both locally and internationally

· Proven ability to work independently, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

· Full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday)

Pay: $60,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
