- The Senior Accountant will support the company’s financial reporting and accounting operations in a SaaS environmen

- . This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with US GAAP (including ASC 606), and contributing to scalable accounting processes

- Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

- Prepare and review journal entries, various account reconciliations, and financial statements

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, with a strong understanding of deferred revenue

- Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate accounting

- Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights to management

- Support the Accounting Manager with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation

- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems (ERP and billing platforms)

- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies

- Prepare and review GST/HST and PST returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings

- Manage corporate income tax compliance in coordination with external advisors

- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on international tax reporting and financial reporting to the parent company

- Act as backup to the Accounting Manager for accounts receivable and accounts payable approvals

- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions, as applicable

- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and other Canadian statutory requirements

- Assist with multi-jurisdictional sales tax compliance,



including cross-border transactions

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

Requirements

- The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)

- Reliable, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines (e.g., a maximum 4-day close)

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with ASC 606 revenue recognition

- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience

- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)

- Process improvement mindset with the ability to scale accounting operations

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally

- Quick learner who can work independently and effectively in a team setting

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Exposure to SOX compliance and segregation of duties

- CPA designation required

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
