The Opportunity
We are seeking a licensed Funeral Director who delivers consistently high standards of care and supports every family with dignity, compassion, and respect. The successful candidate will bring strong professional competency, sound judgment, and close attention to detail, and will work effectively with funeral home leadership and team members to ensure services and arrangements are completed accurately, professionally, and on schedule. A calm, respectful demeanor and the ability to remain composed in a fast‑paced, sensitive environment are essential.

The role comes with a total compensation package comprising an annual salary from $60,000 to $75,000 , quarterly bonus potential, health, dental and insurance benefits, a wellness spending account, and a Company RRSP matching program.

The Funeral Director position requires a high level of compassion and a caring individual who enjoys helping others.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, who enjoy working with and helping people. The ideal candidate will be very organized, have a high sense of urgency, the ability to multitask with a pleasant demeanor, must be proficient in English both spoken and written (other languages an asset) and be able to perform physical requirements of the job.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Have experience in all types of funeral related services (arranging, coordinating of services held in chapel, church, memorial, visitation,



reception/catered events, burial, cremation, entombment, minimum cremation needs)

Excellent verbal and written communication in English; other languages are an asset.

Be naturally empathetic.

Be remarkably organized with the ability to manage time efficiently yet effectively.

Be able to complete the physical demands of the job.

Be dedicated, caring and service driven.

Have a good demeanor and professional outlook.

Be an excellent communicator and team player.

Hold yourself to a high standard of service.

Build excellent relationships with families and within the community.

Be a team player who leads by example, and challenges others to better fulfill their roles.

Have a great attitude and truly love our profession.

Be a leader and encourage Apprentice Funeral Directors to reach their full potentials both personally and in their roles as Funeral Service Professionals.

Not be afraid of doing other important tasks (cleaning vehicles, assisting with clerical duties as required, etc.).

Have a adaptable schedule which may include evening and weekends.

Have a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.

For candidates who embody these attributes, this position has the potential for further advancement within the company.

A BC Funeral Directors license is preferred, however for the right candidate, we will facilitate licensing transfer requirements.

Compensation (including bonuses and benefits) is competitive and will be tailored to match the qualification and skill of the individual applicant.
