Duties

- Plan, execute, and oversee internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management procedures, and compliance with applicable regulations within financial services.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements and operational data using accounting software to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Lead risk assessments by analyzing potential vulnerabilities in processes, recommending mitigation strategies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop audit plans, scope, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans for senior management.




- Facilitate follow-up audits to verify implementation of recommended improvements and monitor ongoing compliance efforts.
- Stay current on industry standards, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing and risk management to continuously enhance audit quality.

Requirements

- Proven experience in internal audits within financial services or related sectors demonstrating strong analysis skills.
- In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and their application in complex organizational environments.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles coupled with proficiency in accounting software tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough audits, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up phases.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and identify potential issues proactively.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate audit findings and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or equivalent are highly desirable.
