About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud & Amazon Connect Solutions Engineer with 10+ years of software development and delivery experience and strong expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting AWS-based contact center solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Amazon Connect, cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, security, and API integrations, with experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and support scalable cloud environments and digital products on AWS.
- Implement and maintain Amazon Connect contact center solutions including Call/Queue Flows, Agent Experience, Call Recording, Contact Lens, Metrics, and CTR analytics.
- Manage AWS production environments, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Develop and automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, network security, and access controls.
- Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and operational automation frameworks.
- Build and integrate APIs and support IVR and workflow implementations.
- Produce technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and system design specifications.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architecture and process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical leadership across complex projects.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development and technical delivery experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience with services including:
- Amazon Connect, Lambda, API Gateway, Lex, CLI, Pinpoint, Polly, Kinesis, S3, KMS, Glue, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, Redshift, EC2, VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ActiveMQ, Amplify, and related services.
- Extensive experience implementing Amazon Connect contact center solutions.
- 5+ years of contact center implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of IVR and workflow technologies.
- Experience with AWS SDK, AWS CLI, CloudFormation, and IAM security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools including GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, and PHP.
- Experience with API design and integration.
- Knowledge of Linux environments (CentOS, Ubuntu, CoreOS) and up-to-date web technologies.
- Experience with Docker and container-based virtualization.
- Strong understanding of web architecture, security standards, and best practices.
- Experience creating technical documentation and system design models.
- Proven ability to implement metrics, monitoring, and operational automation.
Preferred Skills
- Public Sector/OPS experience.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture, SDLC methodologies, gating processes, and project frameworks.
- Experience delivering large and complex IT projects within government or public sector environments.
