Senior Digital Business Analyst – Online/Mobile Banking

Location: Montreal, QC (Local Candidates Required – English Only is OK)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Rate: $65–75/hr Inc.

Overview

Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst to support medium to large-scale technology initiatives within its digital banking workplace. This role will lead requirements activities across business and technology teams, with a strong focus on online and mobile banking solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management

Gather and document both business and system requirements independently

Develop user stories, business/system specifications, process maps, and context diagrams

Facilitate requirements sessions with large groups of business and technology stakeholders

Conduct gap analysis and identify business process improvements

Identify, track, and resolve business and systems issues

Support Agile and Waterfall project delivery

Partner with business and IT teams throughout implementation and testing

Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications

8+ years of Business Analyst/BSA experience

Strong experience with online banking and/or mobile banking





2+ years of experience working on Agile projects

Proven ability to independently gather business and technical/system requirements

Strong knowledge of requirements methodologies across Agile and Waterfall environments

Experience creating user stories, business/system specifications, process maps, and context diagrams

Experience supporting large-scale technology projects ($2M+)

Advanced analytical, gap analysis, and problem-solving skills

Strong facilitation skills, including sessions with 15–20+ stakeholders

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

Nice to Have

Financial services experience, particularly lending products

Strong Business Systems Analyst (BSA) experience

CBAP or PMI-PBA certification

Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis

Ideal Candidate: A senior BA/BSA with strong digital banking experience who can independently drive complex requirements from discovery through implementation while effectively bridging business and technology teams.
