In staffing and deployment, your work will focus on managing and optimising the deployment of employees within the organisation, getting the right talent to the right place at the right time.
Opportunity
Working with the National Resource Management Leader and local Resource Management Teams, facilitating the execution of the Assurance Business Strategy as it relates to Deployment Management while ensuring adherence to QMSE controls.
Maximising resource utilisation by understanding national capacity and availability, and facilitating cross‑site resource management that considers skill sets, career development and client assignment needs.
Leading the West Assurance Canada RM team, providing business coaching and performance management, and overseeing up to three subject‑matter‑expert teams focused on resource‑management activities to drive compliance and operational excellence.
Leading operational activities that include resourcing complex, high‑profile or priority clients, coaching local RM teams on RM best practices, and embedding QMSE standards in all processes.
Supporting the Assurance practice in implementing key business‑transformation initiatives, including flexible talent, centres of excellence and service delivery centres.
Building and sustaining relationships with National and West Assurance Leaders, HC leadership and local partners to influence and drive the firm’s strategic objectives related to effective resource management.
Continuously seeking innovative technology solutions to improve data reporting and decision‑making for the business and the RM team.
Developing and initiating RM strategies related to headcount, mobility and talent management.
Supporting business‑transformation initiatives relating to Assurance Resource Management, implementing related technologies and tools (e.g., TalentLink; moving to Teambuilder in Spring 2026 and Workforce Planning Tools), providing oversight into RM procedures, and initiating recommendations for standardisation and improvement to ensure compliance with QMSE controls.
What You’ll Bring
Proven ability to support and execute resource‑management strategies aligned with organisational goals, delivering exceptional client service and achieving business results.
In‑depth knowledge of resource management with a successful history of developing staffing strategies to optimise utilisation, understand national capacity and facilitate resource sharing across sites and services.
Experience leading, managing and inspiring teams, fostering diversity and integrating diverse perspectives into team dynamics.
Strong oral and written communication skills; a demonstrated record in building robust relationships, negotiation, influence and effective consultation with leaders at all levels while maintaining confidentiality.
Competence in managing complex projects strategically and creatively, handling operations for high‑profile clients and applying resource‑management best practices.
Adaptability to perform effectively under pressure in a matrix organisation; a self‑starter with strong motivation, agility, multitasking, priority‑setting and reliable deadline fulfilment.
Active participation in business‑transformation initiatives, including adaptable talent models and service centres, with a track record of gaining support for new initiatives.
Ability to oversee resource‑management processes, drive process improvements and implement national standards using excellent judgment and problem‑solving skills.
Experience adopting innovative technology solutions to improve data reporting and decision‑making, handling complex data and providing insightful analysis through storytelling.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $98,000 – $148,000, representing the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. The base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. Eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements. We offer a competitive compensation package and adhere to all relevant pay‑transparency legislation.
