Become a Clinical Nurse Educator with the Government of Nunavut. This role is key in fostering skilled nursing practices while supporting diverse cultural and health needs.
In this key position, you will report to the Territorial Health Education Manager and collaborate with nursing service managers to elevate nursing competencies. Your role involves developing educational programs and assessing clinical needs to ensure high-quality nursing services throughout Nunavut. The ideal candidate will have significant clinical experience, advanced nursing skills, and a dedication to teaching and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement nursing staff orientation programs
• Develop advanced clinical instructional programs
• Mentor nursing students and new staff
• Identify nursing skill gaps and address them
• Assist in cultural competency training for nursing staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience
• Advanced skills in pediatrics, obstetrics, and emergency care are necessary
• Teaching experience as a clinical educator or preceptor is an asset
• Registration eligibility with CANNN
