The position reports to the Corporate Controller and is accountable to assist the Controller with billings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accounting and month-end financial reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
Billing & Invoicing
Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in a high volume environment
Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation
Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely manner
Collections & Accounts Receivable Administration
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts via email and phone
Work with customers to resolve payment issues and secure timely payment
Escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with internal credit and collections policies
Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts
Maintain up‑to‑date customer account records and credit information
Prepare AR aging reports and other collection‑related reports as required
Month-End & Financial Reporting
Perform month-end reconciliations
Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules
Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues proactively
Oversee accounts payable processing, including credit card reconciliations
Prepare and file indirect tax remittances (GST/PST)
Assist with audit preparation and ad hoc financial analysis as required
Technical Skills
Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
Exposure to accounting systems or ERP software is an asset
Interpersonal Skills
Solid work ethic and demonstrated team collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple duties
Responsive, excellent time management skillset
Highly detail oriented and analytical
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Accounting or Finance experience.
Secondary or post secondary education in Accounting is considered an asset.
Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
Only residents in the Lower Mainland of BC will be considered.
