Position Title: Cook (Casual) Classification: Cook 1 Employee Group: CUPE Department/Service/Program: Food Service Department – Eden Mental Health Centre Start Date: To be determined Hours of Work: 2080 annually; 8 hrs/day

Position Summary: Reporting to the Support Service Manager, the Cookis responsible forthe daily preparation,cookingand delivery of secure, nutritious meals to the patients,staffand visitors of the facilityin accordance withdepartmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Education/Certification:

Education/Certification:

Certificate in an Accredited Food Handler Training Program required; or be willing to attend Food Handler Training Program in the first six (6) months of employment.

Completion of an Accredited Culinary Program preferred.

Minimum 1-year experience in the Healthcare/Food services industry preferred.

Ability to work as part of a team.
