Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to support a public-sector client in delivering modern, cloud-based data solutions. In this role, you'll work within Agile, cross-functional product teams to design, develop, and optimize scalable data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics solutions, and self-service reporting capabilities that enable data-driven decision-making across government. Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across cloud and hybrid environments.
Develop ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SSIS, and notebooks.
Build and optimize dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
Integrate data from relational databases, APIs, NoSQL platforms, and file-based sources.
Develop curated data marts, fact tables, and semantic models to support analytics.
Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Support enterprise data governance, security, and access management.
Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions using DAX.
Perform data analysis using Python, SQL, and statistical techniques to identify trends and insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Apply AI-enabled techniques to improve data integration, quality, and engineering productivity.
Mandatory
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
15+ Experience as a Data Engineer and/or Data Analyst.
Experience with Python (including PySpark) and SQL.
Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience with Business Intelligence, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards.
Experience with cloud or hybrid data platform implementations.
Enterprise Data Warehouse or Lakehouse design using Star/Snowflake schemas.
Experience with Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or GCP.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
