The Senior

Manager, Engineering is responsible for providing reliable and safe engineering track infrastructure to maximize network availability and train velocity to support operations. Lead Managers, Track Supervisors, Assistant Track Supervisors and hourly Maintenance of Way (MOW) employees across the territory, managing performance, encouraging development, and creating strategies to retain talent Provide clear direction and communication on employee performance and department goals Implement a standardized process to reduce and eliminate track unit collisions and Main Track Authority Violations (MTAV) Drive compliance to regulations and the Engineering Tracks Standards (ETS) Ensure territorial compliance with quality Exposure Reduction discussion (ERD), Job Safety Briefing (JSB) and Field Verification of Life Critical Rules (FVLCR) meeting required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Maintain effective labor management and carry out capital projects to ensure improved productivity Oversee yearly operating and capital budgets as well as drive efficiencies to improve performance Analyze and interpret track geometry and rail flaw reports to identify conditions requiring actions to meet ETS The role has standard working conditions in an office workplace with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires frequent travel (50%) within the region.
