Position Overview Permanent full‑time Rural Adult MHSU Clinician in Williams Lake, B.C., focused on youth substance use counselling within the Cariboo‑Chilcotin region.
Responsibilities Intake assessment and crisis intervention for adults and elderly with serious mental disorders and/or substance use problems.
Referral and case management, coordinating services with other care providers.
Short‑term individual and group psychotherapy, including psycho‑education with clients and their families.
Collaborative community planning and liaison with appropriate professionals.
Providing support for acute psychosis, depression, anxiety, complicated grief, suicidal ideation, substance dependence, and concurrent disorders.
Timely response to individuals in acute crisis.
Qualifications Self‑directed,
independent clinician with a thorough understanding of complex mental health issues.
Strong intake and assessment skills, experienced with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders.
Passion for supporting youth and vulnerable populations experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
