Industrial Painter – Day Shift

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our Production team. This role is essential to ensuring high‑quality finishing on custom-manufactured HVAC units and components. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in spray‑painting techniques, industrial coatings, and safety standards, along with a commitment to delivering top‑tier workmanship.

WORK SCHEDULE
Monday – Thursday, 11:00 am – 8:30pm
Friday, 11:00am – 7:30pm
44 hours per week
Overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare metal and other surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.

Apply primers, sealers, and top‑coat paints using airless, HVLP, or conventional spray guns.

Read and interpret technical drawings, paint specifications, and MSDS documentation.





Mix and thin paints and coatings to proper viscosity following job requirements.

Monitor film thickness, dry times, adhesion, and curing processes to ensure finish quality.

Inspect painted surfaces, perform touch-ups, and complete quality checks.

Operate and maintain spray booths, ventilation systems, and all paint‑shop equipment.

Follow all safety protocols while using PPE, including respirators.

Maintain accurate records of paint usage, batch mixes, and equipment maintenance.

Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and QA teams to meet daily production targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 year of experience as an industrial spray painter in manufacturing or fabrication settings.

Strong understanding of paint formulations, surface prep, and chemical handling.

Training or certification in industrial painting/coatings (e.g., NACE, SSPC) is an asset.

Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and paint codes.

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and using scaffolding.

Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Spray guns (airless, HVLP, or conventional)

Sanding and surface‑prep tools

Standard PPE (gloves, coveralls, safety eyewear)
