Main duties:
Mr. Duc Hoang Tran, as the Tool & Die maker of our window product manufacturing factory, has these main duties:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, jigs and machine parts

Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes

Calculate and verify dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools

Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining

Set up, operate and maintain machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, drill, bore, grind or otherwise shape workpiece to prescribed dimensions and finish

Use precision measuring instruments such as verniers, callipers, micrometers, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM)



and electronic measuring devices to verify machined parts for conformance to specifications.

Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools

Test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation

File, grind, and adjust parts using all hand deburring tools, files, emery paper, electric grinders and air tools so that they fit together properly, smooth and polish surfaces of tools and dies

Inspect completed tools or dies for any signs of imperfection or damage that may affect their functionality; propose solution for repair
