Our Client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer ETL to support a major public-sector data and application modernization initiative

What You Ll Do Design, build, automate and optimize complex ETL/ELT data pipelines

Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources into star and snowflake data warehouse schemas

Develop complex PL/SQL/T-SQL procedures, packages, views and scripts for data extraction, cleansing, transformation and loading

Create denormalized data assets from highly normalized Oracle databases and migrate them into platforms such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Design and support scalable, maintainable data architectures and dimensional data models

Build and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines, including copy activities and custom integrations

Troubleshoot ETL pipeline issues, data quality problems and application performance issues

Perform SQL/query optimization, performance tuning and database troubleshooting

Support data migration and integration across Windows and UNIX environments

Develop technical specifications, documentation, unit tests and solution design artifacts

Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects and other technical stakeholders throughout the SDLC

Must-Have Technical Skills 5+ years of hands-on ETL/ELT and Data Warehousing experience

Robust Oracle Database experience

Advanced PL/SQL and T-SQL





Strong experience with relational and dimensional data modelling

Experience with star/snowflake schemas

Advanced SQL and query optimization

Azure SQL Server

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Python and/or Unix Shell scripting

Data migration and integration across heterogeneous database platforms

Experience with Oracle-to-SQL Server/PostgreSQL data integration

Elasticsearch for search, reporting and performance optimization

Git/GitHub for version control

JIRA and/or Azure DevOps

Additional Technical Experience Experience with the following would be highly valuable:

Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Exadata

Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB)

RMAN backup, restore and environment refreshes

Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud

Microservices and multi-tier application environments

Agile/Scrum and Waterfall SDLC methodologies

Performance tuning and production application support

Nice to Have Previous Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or broader Canadian public-sector experience

Experience with inter-jurisdictional federal, provincial or municipal government projects

Familiarity with OPS Enterprise Architecture, gating processes or similar governance frameworks

Experience working with environmental or regulatory data systems
