Duties

- Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes
- Diagnose and repair system malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret detailed construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct routine inspections of fire alarm sensors, control panels, power supplies, and low voltage wiring
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper integration of fire alarm systems during building phases
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment to perform system upgrades or modifications




- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and maintenance logs for compliance purposes

Qualifications

- Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams related to fire alarm systems
- Strong construction background with hands-on experience in installing or maintaining fire safety systems
- Electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring and circuitry
- Mechanical knowledge of sensors, control panels, and related hardware components
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment necessary for installation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and regulations governing fire alarm systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in quick-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
