We are seeking a Senior Software Developer Full Stack with strong MERN stack expertise to support ongoing enhancements to the Ceres application for the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.

The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and implement application enhancements, technical improvements, bug fixes, and platform upgrades. The role also involves solution design documentation, governance support, stakeholder collaboration, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js.
- Develop bug fixes, technical improvements, and platform upgrades.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
- Maintain solution architecture documents, models, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and maintain build books, deployment procedures, release documentation, and operational/support documentation.
- Support architecture, security, privacy, and governance reviews.
- Ensure solutions align with applicable OPS standards, security, privacy, integration, cloud, and AODA requirements.
- Apply security best practices and authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and SAML.




- Participate in Agile delivery activities.
- Provide knowledge transfer to support operational continuity.

Must-Haves

- 7+ years of full-stack development experience with the MERN stack.
- 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience maintaining solution design artifacts, models, diagrams, and supporting documentation.
- Experience with source control, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
- Experience with application development and solutions compliant with AODA.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
- Strong stakeholder communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in office 5 days per week in Toronto or Guelph.

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with agricultural data collection and analysis applications.
- Familiarity with Government of Ontario Information and Technology Standards (GO-ITS).
- Experience supporting architecture, security, privacy, and governance review processes.
