Enhance community health as a Public Health Nurse with Fraser Health in Surrey, B.C. Focus on the Family Visiting Program and promote health initiatives for families and individuals.
In this Full Time position, you will engage in health promotion and prevention strategies within the community. You will partner with various stakeholders to address health needs and implement effective public health programs. The role requires a blend of nursing skills, effective communication, and a robust understanding of epidemiology and community health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct immunizations for preventive health
• Investigate and manage communicable diseases
• Assess family health needs and provide services
• Offer health education and counseling to diverse groups
• Engage in community planning for health service delivery
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in B.C.
• Minimum six months of relevant public health nursing experience
• Valid Class V Driver's licence for business use
• Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion strategies
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
