The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is looking for a Pediatric and Perinatal Anatomical Pathologist to join its Laboratory Medicine team. This key position entails clinical and educational responsibilities along with opportunities in cooperative research.
As a full-time member of CHEO, you will be responsible for pediatric anatomical pathology and perinatal services, including autopsies and lab research within EORLA. The role demands strong interpersonal skills to foster collaborative work among different medical divisions. Your expertise will also enrich the training of future medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide diverse anatomical pathology services for pediatric patients
• Conduct perinatal pathology assessments, including placental pathology
• Offer autopsy and on-call pathology services as required
• Collaborate with clinical teams for superior patient outcomes
• Engage in educational and research activities within CHEO and EORLA
Requirements:
• MD with Fellowship in Anatomical Pathology or equivalent
• Required Pediatric Pathology Fellowship or relevant experience
• Eligibility for academic appointment at the University of Ottawa
• Proven communication and teamwork skills
• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check
