Job Description
Bridge between craftsmen and management to maximize output and manage daily operations
Oversee prefab production workflows from drawings to finished assemblies
Play a key role in our long‑term planning and overall operational success
Work collectively to improve shop/workflow systems, processes and policies
Actively communicate and collaborate with all team members
Shop‑led production mindset vs site‑led problem solving
Be a leader who creates constructive work environments through positive energy and teamwork
Assist with the development of schedules with the project management team to meet milestones and completion dates
Be highly organized with all facets of your daily activities at STW
Requirements
You will possess a background in project and people planning, as well as shop management.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in varied settings
Minimum 4-year experience in Carpentry and/or Timber Framing, including affiliated certifications (red seal, journeyperson, or international equivalents).
Shop Lead, Crew Management or Foreman level experience.
A full range of skill from all facets of residential and commercial construction
Experience with mentoring junior carpenters
Robust communication skills with teammates, clientele and consultants
Experience with shop production
Creative problem‑solving skills
Familiarity or aptitude with CAD and computer skills
