Banting is building the AI platform for clinical research. Running clinical trials today requires an enormous amount of manual, document-driven work, and that burden falls on research coordinators, analysts, and administrators who are forced to spend most of their time on administrative work instead of patients and science. We’re building the software that automates that operational layer, so research teams can run more trials, run them better, and get patients access to new treatments faster.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
This is the first hire outside of engineering. We are looking for someone who can earn trust with institutions through shared experience and expertise, make early deployments succeed because they know what valuable looks like from the site’s perspective, and shape the product based on real operational knowledge.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Delivery and expansion
Own the end-to-end experience at partner institutions: onboarding, configuration, output validation, training, and ongoing support
Work directly with coordinators, budget analysts, and ethics administrators to validate outputs against how they actually operate
Bridge customers and engineering
Make every engagement successful enough to generate referrals and expand within the institution
Institutional partnerships and pipeline
Identify and build relationships with academic medical centers and research sites running clinical trials. Develop pipeline through targeted outreach and consistent follow-up
Join institutional conversations alongside the CEO. Your clinical research background is what opens doors with VP Research, Clinical Trials Office Directors, and IRB administrators
Lead discovery that goes beyond demos:
understand how each institution runs trials, where workflows break, and where our platform creates the most value
Advance deals by managing follow-ups, proposals, NDAs, and institutional relationships
Represent Banting at conferences. Earn trust by teaching: workshops, research presentations, and demonstrations that help research teams see what’s possible
Translate field experience into product priorities. What you learn at institutions should directly shape what gets built
Identify patterns across institutions that should become platform capabilities
Feed market intelligence back to the team: competitive signals, feature gaps, and what buyers say when we’re not in the room
WHO YOU ARE
You’ve worked in clinical research, or in implementation, customer success, or solutions consulting at a clinical trials technology company. You know how trials run at the site level and you’ve seen enough variation across institutions or environments to know that no two sites operate the same way.
3–8 years of experience including direct clinical research operations work:
Site-side clinical research operator stepping into a broader strategic role
Implementation or solutions lead from a clinical trials technology company
Trials manager, budget,
or startup lead with cross-functional exposure
Understanding of how trial documents get translated into budgets, coverage analyses, ethics submissions, consent forms, and operational plans. You can look at a Schedule of Events and know what it means
Strong communication: discovery sessions, conference presentations, proposals, and clear follow-up
Comfortable with technology: you can learn a platform quickly, configure it, demo it, and diagnose surface‑level issues without writing code
Self‑directed. This role spans pipeline, delivery, and product—you manage competing priorities without dropping anything
Willingness to travel
Nice to have:
Enterprise sales or business development experience, particularly into academic medical centers or health systems
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
This is a founding role at an early‑stage company. You’ll be helping write the playbook. As Banting grows, this role becomes the foundation of our clinical and customer organization, whether that means leadership in strategy, customer success, or institutional sales. The trajectory depends on what you’re best at and where the company needs you most.
If this role resonates but your background doesn’t check every box, we’d still encourage you to apply.
Banting Health AI is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
