About Our Client
Our client is a well‑established Vancouver‑based general contractor with a robust presence across commercial, institutional, and select industrial sectors. Known for delivering high‑quality projects in the $10M–$50M range, the company has built a reputation for disciplined project execution, collaborative site teams, and long‑term client relationships. With a healthy pipeline of new construction and commercial TI work, they are actively seeking to strengthen their project management team with a high‑potential Associate Project Manager.
About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth and an active project pipeline, this is a high‑priority hire. This role offers exposure to full‑cycle project delivery, mentorship from experienced Project Managers, and a clear pathway toward a full PM position. The company is open to expanding the search to find the right individual who can grow into a key contributor within the team.
About the Position
The Associate Project Manager will support the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery, with increasing responsibility over time. You will play a critical role in maintaining project documentation, tracking financials, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring construction activities stay aligned with schedule and budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing RFIs and coordinating consultant responses
Overseeing submittals and shop drawing review processes
Maintaining procurement logs and tracking subcontracts
Assisting with change order management
Supporting cost reporting and financial forecasting
Reviewing and approving invoices
Performing quantity take‑offs and supporting estimating efforts
Maintaining strong document control practices
Coordinating closely with site teams and subcontractors
The Requirements
3–5+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator, ideally progressing toward APM level
Experience delivering projects in the $10M–$50M range
Commercial TI and/or new construction experience required
Industrial project exposure is considered an asset
Must have local BC construction experience
Strong RFI management and submittal coordination skills
Experience with procurement logs, change orders, and subcontract administration
Exposure to cost reporting and forecasting, Quantity take‑offs, and estimating experience
Bluebeam experience required, Procore is considered an asset
Familiarity with construction accounting workflows
Compensation
$90,000 – $110,000 base salary
