Job Description
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and in‑office working.

The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when it will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Who We Are
At Fidelity, we’ve been helping Canadian investors build better financial futures for over 35 years. We offer individuals and institutions a range of trusted investment portfolios and services, and we’re constantly seeking to find new and better ways to help our clients. As a privately owned company, we boldly embrace innovation in all areas as we continue to grow our business into the future. Working with us means you’ll be part of a diverse and dedicated group of people who make a real difference for our clients and communities every day. You’ll have a wide range of opportunities to grow and develop your career in an inclusive environment where you’ll feel valued and supported to be your best – both personally and professionally.

What We Do
Reporting to the Director, Content Marketing, the Senior Editor, Copy & Content elevates the quality, clarity, and consistency of Fidelity Canada’s Investment Marketing and Content Marketing content across channels. This role serves as a senior editorial partner within the Content Marketing organization, helping set and uphold editorial standards while reviewing and refining written and scripted materials to ensure alignment with Fidelity Canada’s brand, tone of voice, and jargon‑free standards. The Senior Editor partners closely with the Manager, Content Marketing and Investment Marketing, the content strategist, and subject‑matter experts to translate complex investment concepts into clear, engaging, and accurate content for Canadian investors and advisors so audiences can quickly understand what matters and what to do next.

The role requires strong editorial judgment, comfort with nuanced financial topics, and the confidence to substantively revise and improve work produced by multiple teams, while preserving each team’s intent and subject‑matter accuracy. While the primary focus is editing and content quality assurance, the Senior Editor also contributes original copy for high‑priority initiatives, complex topics, or flagship content where editorial leadership is required. You will be successful in this role if you are energized by turning complex investment information into plain‑language content that is accurate, compliant, and genuinely practical.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Editorial review and content quality leadership – Review, edit, and elevate investment and content marketing pieces across formats including articles, emails, scripts, landing pages, video voiceovers, and market commentary, from first draft through final approval

Tone of voice and brand alignment – Apply and reinforce Fidelity Canada’s established tone of voice frameworks, helping teams write with clarity, warmth, and plain‑language discipline across Fidelity Investments Canada, Fidelity Wealth, and Investly variations

Video, scripting, and product explainer videos – Review and refine scripts for video, podcasts, and audio content, ensuring conversational clarity, pacing, and suitability for spoken delivery, including tightening for time and simplifying jargon

Editorial collaboration and coaching – Work closely with managers, content marketing specialists, and program managers to enhance draft quality through constructive editorial feedback. Provide guidance and coaching that improves individual pieces and elevates writing standards over time, including examples, rewrites, and shared best practices

Original writing for priority content – Draft original content for select high‑impact initiatives and flagship pieces, such as campaign cornerstone content or executive‑ready narratives, where editorial leadership is required

Ability to manage multiple concurrent reviews and deadlines in a deadline‑driven workplace

Confidence working with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross‑functional partners

Collaborative mindset, paired with the ability to challenge and improve work constructively through clear, actionable feedback

What We’re Looking For

Strong writing and editing capability demonstrated through prior roles or portfolio examples

Demonstrated experience editing investment, financial or highly technical content

Experience reviewing and improving executive level or enterprise‑wide communications

Proven ability to work with an established brand and tone of voice frameworks

Nice To Have

Experience in asset management, wealth management or financial services

Experience editing scripts for video, audio, or digital media

Familiarity with regulatory or compliance driven content environments
