Job Description Location: hybridThe Best Practices Consultant role provides an opportunity to work in the Group Underwriting area on the Best Practices team and includes a wide variety of responsibilities. In this role, you will expand your knowledge of Group Benefits, project management, tool enhancements and create efficiency in underwriting processes and practices. As this role has a lot of interactions with a variety of stakeholders, the ability to work in close partnership with underwriting team members and business experts from other Group Benefits teams, is key to success.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and enhance processes and tools (primarily Excel) for underwriters and the Best Practices teamParticipate in Group Benefits projects as an underwriting project leader, subject matter expert, designer and/or tester, depending on the individual candidate's interests and qualificationsRecommend to Underwriting Management development and improvement opportunities for the departmentAnalyze system data and compile summary information for underwriter reference, profit analysis, project inquiries and process audits.QualificationsAttention to detail and strong analytical thinkingMinimum of 2 years of group underwriting experienceExcellent communication skills, both spoken and writtenAdvanced knowledge in Excel, VBA programming and a willingness to learn other software tools (examples: Tableau,
