About this role and Responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Manager with deep AWS consulting experience to lead cloud delivery for OnX's Cloud Consulting Practice. This is a player-coach role: you will lead a team of cloud architects and engineers on client engagements, own delivery quality and client outcomes, and act as a senior technical and business voice in front of clients from discovery through go-live. You will also be an active contributor to pre-sales, helping shape proposals, solutioning, and client presentations that grow the practice.

AWS Consulting Delivery Leadership

- Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS consulting engagements, owning scope, timeline, budget, and quality across multiple concurrent client projects.
- Lead and develop a team of cloud architects and engineers: assign engagement work, review designs, and hold the practice to a consistent delivery methodology and quality bar.
- Architect, design, and govern robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions with AWS as the primary platform; working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP to support clients with multi-cloud environments.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes and container environments (Amazon EKS and related tooling)



as part of broader AWS solution delivery.
- Lead client advisory initiatives, guiding stakeholders through AWS cloud adoption, modernization, and transformation programs while fostering strong, trusted relationships. Offer expert technical advice on AWS compute, storage, networking, security, identity management, data services, and DevOps tools.

Client Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders by guiding them in formulating and implementing comprehensive cloud strategies and operating models.
- Evaluate current environments, develop AWS modernization and migration roadmaps, and provide delivery oversight for cloud migration initiatives.
- Participate in pre-sales consulting development: scope opportunities, contribute to proposals, solutioning, and statements of work, and support deal qualification alongside sales and solution architecture teams.
- Present to clients and prospects as a senior technical and delivery voice, from discovery workshops through executive steering committees.
- Clearly and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical, executive audiences, and translate business requirements into architectural frameworks and actionable delivery plans.

Practice Giveback, People and Thought Leadership

- Mentor and coach the team of cloud architects and engineers you lead, building delivery capacity and bench strength while promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Advance practice development by contributing to new AWS service offerings, delivery frameworks, and methodologies, and by supporting recruiting and thought leadership for the Cloud Consulting Practice.

Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with deep, hands-on AWS expertise across compute, storage, networking, security,



identity, and data services; working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP is a plus. AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional) strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience within a consulting or skilled services organization, delivering client-facing cloud engagements.
- Proven track record leading delivery teams of cloud architects and engineers across multiple concurrent client engagements, owning scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
- Experience participating in pre-sales: scoping opportunities, contributing to proposals and statements of work, and presenting solutions to prospective clients.
- Strong background in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment patterns.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Amazon EKS and related tooling), and management of large-scale, distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, network segmentation, encryption, monitoring, cost optimization, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success leading cloud modernization and migration programs, with a solid understanding of governance and compliance.
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage clients, influence technical direction, and resolve complex delivery challenges.

Education

- Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
