Support the Burnaby Community Safety Department as an Equipment Custodian. Manage police equipment and ensure operational quality for safety.
This role involves clerical and custodial duties at the Burnaby RCMP Detachment. As an Equipment Custodian, you will track, receive, issue, and store weapons and police equipment. This position requires independence in judgment and action while adhering to established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and manage police equipment inventory
• Conduct quality control checks on equipment
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Prepare and maintain records, files, and reports
• Assemble equipment kits for RCMP members
Requirements:
• Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience related to police equipment handling
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Proficient in spreadsheets and databases
• Valid BC Driver’s Licence and Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance
