Job Title/Role: Senior Manual Test Analyst

Type: Fulltime

Location: Vancouver, BC (Onsite)

Client: HCL Canada

Must-Have Skills:

1.Test Strategy & Planning

Develop test strategies and test plans for new products and features

2.Test Case Authoring

Create new test cases as features are added and requirements change; maintain and update existing ones

3.Bug Triage & De-duplication

Review bugs to identify duplicates, request clarification, and ensure adherence to reporting standards

4.Debug/Investigation Tools

Proficiency with Visual Studio, gdb, Android Studio, adb, and similar tools

5.Connectivity Testing

Hands-on experience in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE QA testing

6.Log Analysis & Root-Cause

Ability to review logs and derive root-cause of bugs

7.Multi-Feature Management

Drive multiple features simultaneously and set priorities with limited guidance

8.Independent in Ambiguity

Work independently in environments with varying levels of ambiguity





9.Strong Deductive Reasoning

Analytical thinking for complex bug investigation and test gap identification

10.Software Development Process

Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development process

11.Excellent Communication

Qualified verbal and written communication including cross-functional status updates and defect report clarity

12.Bug-Tracking Software

Expert-level use of Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, or equivalent

13.Command Line Tools

Strong competency with command line tools for testing and debugging

14.Mentoring

Ability to onboard and mentor junior team members (TA1s)

15.Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field + 6+ years of QA experience, OR Bachelor's in any field + 10+ years of QA experience.
