Flying Dust First Nation Housing Department is seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential housing and community-owned buildings.
Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems.
Conduct inspections and identify electrical deficiencies in housing units.
Install and replace electrical panels, breakers, wiring, switches, receptacles, and lighting fixtures.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and inspections performed.
Work collaboratively with Housing Department staff, contractors, and community members.
Promote and maintain a safe work workplace at all times.




Qualifications & Skills Minimum Third‑Year Construction Electrician Apprentice status registered with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC), or higher.
Preference will be given to Fourth‑Year Apprentices, Journeyperson Electricians, and candidates holding a Red Seal Endorsement.
Experience with residential electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Saskatchewan electrical standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and identifying deficiencies.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
