Job Role: Senior Program Manager

Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada (Onsite)

:

Enbridge experience is preferred OR oil & gas experiences

We are seeking a senior program manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that bridge enterprise applications and oil and gas operations. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of IT/digital transformation and upstream, midstream, or downstream operations, requiring a leader who can translate operational needs into technology solutions and drive multi-workstream programmes from business case through go-live and adoption. The ideal candidate brings deep programme management discipline, hands-on experience with enterprise applications (ERP, EAM, SCADA-adjacent systems, or similar), and firsthand knowledge of oil and gas business processes and field realities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of large, multi-workstream programmes spanning enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, EAM, production/operations systems) and oil and gas business functions.
- Partner with operations, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, success criteria, and governance structures.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans across multiple concurrent projects.
- Manage programme risk, issues, dependencies, and change control; escalate and resolve blockers proactively.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical application teams and field/operations stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with real-world operational workflows.
- Oversee vendor and systems integrator relationships, including contract deliverables, SOWs, and performance against milestones.
- Drive organisational readiness, training, and change management to support successful adoption of current applications and processes.
- Report program status, risks,

and financials to executive sponsors and steering committees; recommend course corrections as needed.
- Ensure programmes comply with relevant safety, regulatory, environmental, and data governance requirements applicable to oil and gas operations.
- Mentor project managers and cross-functional leads; contribute to maturing PM/PMO standards, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of programme/project management experience, including at least 3+ years in the oil and gas industry (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise application programmes (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Maximo, or similar ERP/EAM platforms).
- Strong understanding of oil and gas business processes, terminology, and field operations.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar programme budgets and large, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and facilitation skills.
- Skilled in program governance frameworks, risk management, and change management methodologies.
- Proficiency with PM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent, plus PPM/reporting tools.
- Ability to travel to field/site locations as needed and work effectively in a hybrid workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP certification.
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with SCADA, production data systems, or field digitalisation initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to oil and gas (e.g., environmental, safety, and reporting requirements).
- Experience leading Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery in a regulated industrial workplace.

What We Offer

- Competitive salary and performance-based bonus.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Hybrid work flexibility with occasional field/site travel.
- Opportunities for professional development and industry certification support.
